When I first laid eyes upon the Worlds End Public House my eyes lit up with relief, a tear bundled from my eye, merged with the vast mass of sweat upon my face and vaporized in the striking haze of a spring eve, all before I could let out a yowl of pleasure..
After a lengthy walk around the curiosities of Mother Shiptons Cave and the adjoining village on a warm day, the mere prospect of a bench and parasol was sufficient to shove me over the edge of enjoyment, and this place had plenty! On a serious note though this place is wonderful, very accommodating to both humans and their dogs.
The food we had was really on another level from what comparable establishments serve up. I played it safe, ordering chips, while the people I was with ordered somewhat more substantial meals. Now as a sizable fella, I'm not going to lie I was eyeballing the specially made chicken breast the kitchen had prepared for the dog joining us, But I don't think that's a skirmish I would of won, so stuck to the chips, which where great.
Can't knock the place, if I ever trundled to the end of the world, and this place winked it welcoming eye at me, I'd be more than happy.
It was full but we managed to find a table. Dog friendly and friendly staff. The food was good but there was hair on the chips, which is an absolute no go. The salad had a very good dressing, highly recommended.
Bit pricey in my opinion.
Nice place to stop for some lunch and pint if your lucky enough to get a table on a sunny Saturday ! All of the food was really nice and arrived in okay time to say the place was packed! Big queues at the bar though but to be expected given the time we visited! Would visit again!!
