Lovely staff, brilliant breakfast, room was clean and had everything provided. Couldn’t ask for more. A great place to stay would highly recommend. Park in the York car park round the corner for £2 a night
We have been coming to knaresborough for a number of years now and always pop in a couple of times during our stay to The Old Royal Oak.
What we love most is the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, the owners are both wonderful friendly people who clearly work very hard.
The ladies toilets are spotless, as is the rest of the place and it’s always lovely and warm inside, much appreciated when you’ve been out in the cold! You also get a friendly welcome Woof 🐶 from the family pet, he’s just a sweetheart!
Prices very competitive and all round a fantastic place to come for a pint or two. We have yet to eat here but the food looks and smells amazing, so we will definitely be eating here next time we visit!
This is a traditional old fashioned pub, just the way it should be!
Spot of family Easter Sunday treats in the way of carvery. Food was lovely, service fantastic what more could you ask for. I had the Turkey which was delicious and then there were 3 other meats to choose from! I have it on good authority from my mother that the beef was delicious. Thank you 😊
