I’ve eaten out in some really nice places, but the food here honestly is the best pub grub. Everything our party of 4 ordered was beautifully presented and tasted even better. I ordered pie of the day, minted lamb and home made chips, honestly it was the best pie I’ve ever tasted. Beautiful and even though I was full I couldn’t leave it.
For what was an old run down horrid pub, you’ve massively turned it around. Beautiful setting and even more beautiful food. Credit to you both
Popped in here for a bite to eat after visiting mother shiptons cave, well positioned for families coming out of the attraction. Went in with our two huskies and received a very warm welcome from the staff. Very old building lots of character lots of room and plenty to look at. Food was very good I got a sandwich and wife got the fish, both nice portions. Very good for price as well. Staff continued to be very friendly and chatty through the visit. Would recommend having a bite to eat once visiting the cave.
Well what a lovely place with the kindest staff! We brought our three children and dog mid bike ride and the guy behind the bar was a breath of fresh air, chatting away to my boys. we ordered drinks and chips just to keep the kids going until tea and the prices were so reasonable (infact I got a gin and ginger ale in harrogate last night for exactly the same as what I paid for an identical gin and ginger ale today plus another 4 drinks and 2 portions of chips ) the lady who brought our food our also brought water for our dog and they just all seemed really genuine and lovely and it doesn’t go in-noticed. The food we had was lovely and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for accommodating my tribe of boys, all of their bikes and our dog!
