We had a lovely meal in the small restaurant. Service and food were both excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The sweet potato tempura with wasabi mayo dip was the highlight for me along with the Maki. Katsu chicken in the Platter was nicely cooked although I would’ve liked a Katsura curry sauce with it. Will definitely be back though.
Popped in for some lunch and was more than delighted with my food and the experience.
Started off with the loaded katsu chicken fries, this was very reminiscent of a poutine but with a lovely curry sauce in place of the gravy. The portion was generous, I could easily have eaten more though as they tasted so good.
For the main event I opted for a tonkatsu ramen with chicken katsu. Again, this was delightful. The chicken was cooked to perfection and nestled perfectly on top of the dish. The vegetables were a highlight, they had a lovely seared taste to them which really added to the flavour of the dish. The broth was well balanced between saltiness and flavour too. All in all, a lovely dish.
I'll definitely be back in the future to try some other items on the menu. There were so many varied options that caught my eye.
A good addition to the ramen menu may be a tantanman sesame broth option, I would love to try their take on this.
Service was fantastic, very attentive and the chef Marcin was very engaging and keen to hear feedback on the dishes to improve the flavours. It's always good to see a chef who wants to learn from their customers to give them the flavours and experiences that they are looking for.
Cycled here along the canal from Bishopbriggs and had a lovely lunch. Delicious salmon teriyaki. Generous portion of salmon and tasty pickled veg. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back! Sat at a nice wee table in the sunshine overlooking the campsies.
