We had coffees with scone and caramel shortbread in the sun after our visit to the castle. Friendly people, tasty food and drinks.

Wonderful lunch with friends- selection of panini and gluten free toastie followed by cakes and ice creams. The teas and coffees were also good. Friendly quick service. Lovely place to sit awhile and then explore the adjacent Castle. Dogs not allowed inside but seating and tables available outside. Great play area. There are a few parking spaces just outside.

A fantastic little ice cream parlour and tea room just off the A66 in Brough. We stopped on our way to Scotland and it was brilliant. The staff are extremely friendly and the parlour has a nice welcoming feel to it. The food is good too. Nice and simple and just what you need on a long journey. The Brough castle ruins make a nice back drop whilst you have a cuppa too and there's direct access to the castle if you want to stretch your legs before moving on. Would recommend stopping here to anyone. Lovely little place
