Excellent meal, as long as you stay away from the desserts! Had sausage and chips with curry sauce, and it was beautiful. Nice and hot, two large battered sausages and a little dish of really tasty curry sauce. It's not cheap (49p for a slice of bread), but there's plenty of it, and it's extremely tasty. Even if you fancy ending your meal with something sweet, do not order a dessert! I asked what was available, and the treacle sponge sounded appealing, so I had mine with ice cream, my mate had his with custard and my wife had a bowl of ice cream. My "treacle sponge" turned out to be a slice of suet roll which was dry, hard and luke warm (at best). The bit I snapped off crumbled in my mouth, even with the ice cream (although this was more ice than cream, with very little flavour). When I complained, I was told that they're trialling desserts (on paying customers??) and the suet roll (not even treacle sponge that I'd been offered and had ordered) wasn't going down well. I was offered a slice of chocolate brownie to take home but, as I don't like brownies, I politely declined. £12.67 wasted on three inedible desserts but at least the £41.21 was money well spent.
Jackie, Ellie & Sam were absolutely brilliant staff members!! Me and my family had come from A&E where we had been for the best part of the day and were starving. The takeaway was due to close in 10 minutes by the time I’d arrived but I’d called ahead to place my order and they had made everything fresh for me and didn’t make me feel bad for being the last customer of the evening they were all so warm and welcoming. Food was lovely and just what we needed after a stressful day. Thanks the the team in Kingswood for being so welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!
First British fish and chips and Papas did not disappoint!! Friendly faces and great service from the lovely Kaci and Suzy. Danke schöne
