Called in for lunch after visiting the church. Me, the wife and my older sister. Lovely location, clean, tidy appearance. Felt right as soon as we walked in. Cheerful welcome and shown to a table with nice view of the garden. Sandwiches, salad and chips. All fresh and tasty and plentiful. The staff were great, Willow especially. 10 out of 10 all round. Definitely go again.
We went out for lunch at The Kilpeck Inn on a recommendation from a friend and w weren't disappointed. The village is quaint with a lovely church near the Inn. We were early for our booking which as it happened was a good thing because the restaurant filled up quickly and bearing in mind it was a mid week lunch time, the restaurant was full by 12.45pm!
We had 3 good courses, with the mussels, the blue steak and the gooseberry crumble being highlights. There were only 2 ladies serving both bar and restaurant but they managed to get food and drinks out in a timely manner!
One to return to!
We came for lunch as 4 adults, a baby and a dog. The pub is very dog friendly and straight away we were offered a high chair for the baby.
I’d pre warned the staff about dietary requirements and they seemed prepared. There’s lots of food options that are dairy and gluten free by design which is nice as no one feels like they’re missing out.
All the food was beautifully served and everything was satisfying. The price was maybe on the high end for lunch, costing about £30pp including drinks. That being said, the quality and presentation justify it.
The service was good; however, the staff were visibly rushed as the pub was fully booked with just 2 waiting staff. Despite this, service was good and the staff were very friendly!
