Absolutely phenomenal staff members. They are incredibly helpful and always up for some friendly banter with the customers, making you feel welcomed and wanted! The decor is nice albeit a little bit dated, the car in the ceiling is still as funky as ever however. The food is decent but the menu is a little limited. I find myself almost always getting the exact same thing every time I go there for food. Although I've always greatly enjoyed the soup of the day when I've been in. Probably the highlight of the meal every time but to be fair I'm a big lover of soup! As for the negative points, the staff now wear red polo shirts rather than the fairly casual clothing that they used to wear which I don't particularly like. The polo's make it feel a little like you're in a chain place, like McDonald's. It was much more welcoming to see them dressed casually. Beyond this I'm not overly impressed with the price increases as of late. Jack Daniel's and Coke going from 2.95 up to now £3.25 as of 11/11/17 in the time I've been going there. As far as I'm aware all spirits have went up, although I'm unsure about pints and the likes. Last time I was in it was £3.05 for a Jack and Coke so a 20p price hike on a per drink basis is pretty steep, particularly for a place typically known as a students bar! Overall, the staff are certainly the best thing about the bar, not a bad thing to say about them. Though, the prices certainly could be far more reasonable.
