Very windy when we visited today, so unfortunately we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the view. It was busy inside but a table became free as we were ordering at the counter. Our wee dog was welcome too, bonus!
I had the biggest cheese scone I've ever seen! I thought I'd been given a hard bit off butter to go with it, turns out I was trying to spread a bit of cheese 😂 The cheese, butter and chutney that came with the giant scone were also lovely.
The flat white was very good, I almost bought a bag of the ground roast to take home.
Kids hot chocolates were good as well, big marshmallows too, not the little nonsense most places give you. (Picture shows take away cups, we asked for these in case we had to go before we were finished).
Fantastic egg roll as well, cooked to perfection with a lovely runny yolk.
It wasn't cheap, nowhere around Loch Tay is. But you are paying for good quality, home made/freshly prepared goods, so it is value for money.
Hope to visit on a sunny day next time so we can sit in their lovely outdoor space and watch the world go by without feeling baltic.
We were pleased to see that the cafe had reopened after the pandemic. We visited several times in Aug 2020 and loved it. Good to see the further improvements to the decking area and grass seating area. We had a round of bacon on bread and nice coffees with the most spectacular view looking down Loch Tay.
We even came back on day two for another round of coffee and bacon rolls. This time a wee Robin came by to join us.
Beautiful place, so relaxing with awesome views, the staff are amazing... the coffee is fantastic even the decaf! #dog friendly, animal friendly as you will see from my photos... can't wait to go back!
