Fantastic pub up a country road. The cider was good, the good was spectacular. The outside seating area gives you a nice view of the sunset as well as the horses on the fields. Would definitely go back here. Tip: get the Bannoffee pudding.
Had the best non alcoholic beer I've ever tasted in the beautiful pub gardens, sat under grapevines and watched the horses grazing 🐴 . Staff were all very friendly and efficient. Menu looks great with a great selection of local beers, wines, and spirits in addition to cocktails blended with homemade syrups. Great hiking stopover, would come back!
It was a lovely night and it wasn't crowded as it was a Tuesday night. I loved the place Jevington and I used to drive occasionally to see the beauty of nature /South down.
Eight bells were on my bucket list and it was good. Loved the beer (obviously it was Longman ) and food was kind of ok actually. One of the customers who was sitting on the side of the pub came to us and told us not to order the main dishes bcoz it's not worth it so we didn't order much but a few. But I did like the service and atmosphere , indeed it was peaceful and it was drizzling outside. I would definitely visit the Eight bells again and next time I would love to sit outside the pub. It was dark when we visited yesterday (Tuesday).
