An awesome place. The staff are very friendly. The cafe has an amazing selection of homemade made cakes, scones, soup and sandwiches made by volunteers. The view from the cafe is across Loch Erisort where, porpoise, dolphins, sea eagles and otters have been seen. The museum is also manned by knowledgeable volunteers. There is a good selection of groceries, local crafts in the shop and a post office too. Best kept secret on south Lochs
Museum was super interesting, particularly the section on the history of whaling in Lewis. The shop out front is really well-stocked and is reasonably priced. Didn't get any food but the cafe has some beautiful views of the loch - definitely worth a stop!
Lovely friendly welcome here, the cafe was serving some excellent baked goods and even provided us with binoculars to sit and look across the water. Well stocked shop, fabulous local history museum and gallery.
