We've had a few excellent outings in the Boar's Head Indian restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is fast and efficient and the place is homely. The proprietors are very friendly and courteous. I had my usual Korma dish, but my husband and our friend tried something different from the one they usually have. They commented that the dishes were the best Indian dish they have ever had. I was very impressed by the small treats we have received from the staff such as: oranges and grapes on the house and also chocolate mints with the bill. They were exceptionally busy but they still found the opportunity to take pictures of us and have a little chat.
Excellent place, comes with high recommendation from us.
Some friends took us to the Boar's Head Tandoori a few days ago. It's a little out of town so would not know it was there. Looks pretty unassuming but the food is excellent and the service very friendly. Tried a Fish curry and Lamb dish. Both were exceptional - very tender, good taste. I found the fish curry a real find since I've not had that before. Well worth the drive!
BOAR’S HEAD TANDOORI
I had intended to have a Sunday carvery lunch but instead revisited old stamping grounds at Kinmuck, near Inverurie and dined at the Boar’s Head Tandoori, Kinmuck. My party of three enjoyed an excellent meal in an imaginative restful ambiance. Our individual selection of Lamb Vindaloo, Goan Fish and Tandoori King Prawn Massala was accompanied by plain Papadum, Chutney Tray, plain steamed rice, Dhall Fry and home cooked Peswari Naan Bread all beautifully presented on hot plates in mid table. Cleared plates were testament to the excellence of our choices. I was impressed by the professionalism, I like the quiet village and the large car park. I will be back.
