This was one of the best meals iv had me and my friend both had the seafood pot with hand cut chips. Was amazing . The staff were very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back

The best meal i have ever ate ... cream.of watercress and pesto soup...seared venison on a bed of mushroom rice and kale with a side of hotpot ...then lemon tart .... so many flavours so tasty .... staff lovely and attentive, ambience relaxed and friendly husband had lentil soup, seabass with serano ham hen sticky toffee pudding ... both so glad we celebrated our 24th Wedding anniversary here. Will definately return thank you x

Just realised that my post was more of a review so here it is :) Six of us were in the Kipper last night to celebrate family birthdays and try the Christmas Menu. My advice is BOOK NOW or you will miss a fantastic treat! The seafood chowder was exquisite as were the terrine and salmon starters. We had almost a full house of the slow cooked beef. Everyone loved it! Melt in your mouth and packed full of flavour. Vegetables cooked to absolute perfection and fantastic balance of flavour and texture. Salmon was apparently lovely as well Apparently star of the dessert was Eton Mess but I loved the Christmas bread and butter pudding. I could have eaten it several times over - but then I'm a bit of a pig Wine list well thought out and reasonably priced. Service was brilliant. Speedy and personal without being over-bearing. All in all as you can probably gather I can't recommend the Kipper Bistro highly enough! Fantastic food, brilliant service and lovely setting. What more can you ask for?
