Superb fish supper eaten in the shelter of the car as heavy rain clouds rolled in over Loch Fyne. Good size portion, perfectly cooked. Not too greasy, not too dry. Side order of curry sauce for dunking my chips in. Washed it down with proper 1901 Irn Bru and sat until dark contemplating why Barr's did away with these glass cheques.
I parked adjacent to Para Handy's Vital Spark puffer, unmistakable in red and black. Good accessible toilets here, besides parking spaces for all modes of vehicle from motorbikes to blue badge to campervan. And it's just a short hop to the chippy on the main street!
Check the parking meter carefully. Sometimes it's free although it may not be immediately obvious!
Hopefully I'll be back soon 🙂
Me and my partner have travelled up from Preston and are staying in the local spa, we decided to try this chippy and it didn’t disappoint. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was great and the curry and gravy sauces were amazing. The curry sauce was mild and sweet which I prefer. The service of the two gentlemen was heart warming, very chatty and easy to talk too. Great service all around, when back in these parts of the woods we will be visiting again
Fish and chips cooked perfectly. No grease and perfectly seasoned. Generous portion for two people. Quality of fish exceptional. Very light and crisp batter. Eaten looking out over Loch Fyne. Life doesn’t get better for those of us who like simple pleasure
