An absolute gem! Had the best time at no.57 - started with a delicious cup of coffee by the cosy fire followed by a mooch in the vintage shop upstairs. The ladies running the shop and cafe were delightful too. Thank you.
Had the most delicious lunch here today.....quite a varied menu plus usual beverages and lovely cakes. Meal freshly prepared so had to wait some time for the food to arrive but that's not a problem in an easy going, relaxed, and interesting building. Staff very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.
Found this amazing place by pure chance! We were driving by and my wife saw a delightful dress in the window, so we stopped! It’s a first class cafe with antiques you can buy. Set over several floors, each room brings a different level of quirkiness! Got chatting to the owner (who owns the Austin in the pics as well). The building is built alongside the hill, the back wall is actually part of the hall and it keeps the coolness (ideal for when it was a but her in the 70s, before that, a pub). The owner has been there some 20 odd years and had the epiphany to make it into a cafe and shop! If you’re in the area, you’ve got to visit. Oh, cheese and mustard scones melt in the mouth and the selection of salads is truly wonderful !
