The park is beautiful but it still may take a back seat to friendly service and wonderful food! Geraldine and Barry were able to take a moment and share some history and stories about the area. They helped us navigate the park and the amazingly extensive menu of dietary options.
The burgers were so flavorful and so satisfying; perfect for a quick bite at the park. Yet who would expect a hearty and subtly spiced roasted vegetable soup (Perfect for the rainy day on which we stopped!) from such a casual and unassuming place. Best of all, was the apple charlotte with warm custard to cap it all off. Simply wonderfu!
We went for the stories and the setting, then decided to get a bite. At this point, I would take in the scene as an aperitif, but definitely go for the food and friendly, casual service as the main course.
Such a great place to go. The food is great, our dogs are welcome and the staff are friendly. The surroundings are beautiful too.
We love you, Geraldine and Barry. We thought this place couldn’t be real. It must be just some fanciful fairy glamour. How else can you explain incredible vegan and gluten free cuisine in the middle of the forest? Orange cake, custard, ice cream, soup, vege burgers, Shepherd’s pie! Bam! We ate the left half of the menu for just £32! I would have eaten more if I could fit it. Scrumptious! Miraculous! Thank you! We were just looking for ghost stories and the location of the 1963 Kent Mothman sightings. We didn’t imagine we could stumble out of the woods and find a such a friendly place that would feed us too!
