My wife and I visited Peel and Ash for a Thursday night treat. And what a treat we were in for!
The surrounding areas of Goole only have your typical pub fayre with the odd exception, however I can categorically say that this place has just raised the bar. It’s exceptional.
First of all, they have done a great job of decoration and has a modern, cosy feel to it. So great job there.
The staff were great and the owner (sorry I can’t remember your name!) spoke warmly to us and asked if it was our first visit and seemed genuinely pleased to have us. The other staff members were also very friendly and attentive.
The food... I have to say, I’ve eaten in my fair share of Italian restaurants in the past but this place blew them out of the water! We had goats cheese Bon-bons to start which came with a raspberry dusting. Incredible - If you like goats cheese just get these, you’ll thank me for it!
The pizzas were also truly brilliant. I had the prime cuts which was a mix of meats and my wife had the pear and Brie pizza. We both agreed that they were best pizzas we’ve had a very long time. We’ll 100% be back to try the eclectic range of pizzas.
Seriously, if you live in the area you must, must try this place. It’s easily the best restaurant for miles around. We’ll be back again and again. In fact I think we’ll go tonight!
Just been and have to say that that was the best pizza I have ever had...a great little pizza house the pizza has an amazing level of fresh toppings and fresh pizza base that melts in the mouth-absolutely fantastic - well done chef and all your team - definitely will be coming again
We turned up without any booking and was made to feel very welcome with attentive staff and fantastic food.
The open kitchen concept means you see that all the food you eat is freshly prepared. The menu has plenty of options and we left with a doggy bag (box) because there was so much.
We thoroughly recommend Peel and Ash. Go there and you won't regret it.
