Few quick facts one should know to improve their experience. I went there to renew our passports (4 member applications), application processing took 15 minutes only.
1. Booked early morning appointment slots, (I booked for 8:30 am)
2. Reached around 8:00 am , stood near the entry gate. This would enable you to get the entry quickly, once they open the door.
3. Enough parking available, they call it RED Zone , just backside of the VFS building. 150 parking slots are available. During morning hours one can get easy parking space
4. Has a coffee and snack bar , opens after 8:30 am ( I suppose)
5. Restroom is ok
6. Brilliant staffs , super efficient Indian folks , no laid-back attitude. They opened office door shap at 8:30 am and super attentive to perform their duties. I loved the way supervisor was manually orchestrating the job and sending people on different windows.
7. Last but not the least, I had a really good experience with the Lady 'Priyanka ( forgot her last name) . She was apt on her job , quick validation, quick coordination
8. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP SEPARATE APPOINTMENT LETTERS FOR EACH APPLICANT. EVEN IF YOU BOOKED THREE APPOINTMENTS TOGETHER. I had to get additional xerox COPIES from the vfs Center. 50p each copy ( no hassle)
Just a suggestion
Check the documents beforehand with the help of the checklist. Your entire experience would be smooth.
Today (after 7 days) , I can see Passport gone for printing.
Total time for passport renewal on normal circumstances. 2-3 weeks.
Only one observation
1. They don't ask for courier preference, and the charges are huge. Something that can be worked upon though by VFS. Nothing on the staff.
My overall experience was brilliant.
Wow what an amazing experience, Reached at appointed time at 3:00 PM, got warm welcome and token by a very pleasant staff.
Got my number in 5 minutes and took another 5 minutes to get process done.
Key is to follow checklist and keep documents ready and in sequence.
Very helpful staff and great facilities.
Also neat and clean washroom on same level towards exit/entrance.

It’s used to be the most chaotic place but since a new manager has introduced documents check help desk service before issuing the tokens the overall customer experience has improved significantly that saved the people’s time and trips it takes to get the job done. Definitely the best customer service I have received today. Just get there 15 minutes before the appointment and you will be out in no more than 30 minutes. If there is any minor mistake on your application forms than they will also let you use their computers and printers to make changes… Keep it up VFS and please pay extra bonus to a new manager who made this happen.
