By chance we stayed at the Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel and were very pleased with the hotel accommodations and staff. Because of a French air traffic controller strike we miss our connecting flight from Heathrow to DFW on British Airways. BA put us up at the Sofitel and it was a most pleasant stay despite missing our flight. Hotel staff were very accommodating, room was excellent, along with the dining. For breakfast we encountered one of the most cheerful chefs we have ever me. He lit the place up with his friendly exuberance and happiness. Highly recommend the Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel.
One of the finest breakfast buffet was served in Sofitel London, and I was lucky enough to gorge on the chef's special delicacies for 5 consecutive days. I'm sure there wouldn't have been a better way to start of my London morning.
The breakfast spread was huge, from variety of cereals and milks, flavoured yogurts, fruits, salami's, scrambled eggs, sunny side up, bacons, sausages, live counter for omelettes, pancakes, baked beans, roasted mushrooms, tomatoes, blueberry smoothie..Muffins, waffles, bagels, croissants ..list is endless.
We were served with 5 variety of juices daily, there was a section for Jain Breakfast also (specially designed for our Indian Group) which had Upma, paranthas, rice, poori, chhole and few more things.
The chef's were so cordial and customised the omelettes as per our choice daily with a smiling face. The scrambled eggs were the yummiest part of the breakfast.
The buffet was spread across the entire restaurant and the hard rolls, variety of jam filled croissants, muffins, donuts, waffles, pan cakes were sectioned in the middle.
They had these four kind of jams on every table, the raspberry bad black currant being my favourite.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the at and Team Vivre truly lives up to this.
Thanks Hotel Sofitel for making my stay a cherish able one.
A fancy place with a simple menu. Don't get me wrong, when I say simple I don't mean unimaginative, instead it just makes it easy for you to decide once you've decided what track of cuisine you wanna try that day. I chose the international cuisine and tried the chicken tikka pizza and the chicken jalfrezi plate. With what I expected I was still pleasantly surprised at how they managed to pull off both these dishes with such brilliance. The chicken tikka pizza sounded a bit risky, but made for a very interesting meal. Recommended for a special occasion!!
