Absolutely gorgeous place!! My sister booked it for my hen party. Such a beautiful venue, great service and the best afternoon tea I've ever tasted! Highly recommended for a fun, girlie day out.
Why would I not go into a pink tea shop? I was not disappointed. Everything I like about eating out was here, starting with an immediate, friendly greeting, despite being busy. Directed to a table straight away. Extensive menu, including unusual teas and homemade cakes. Beautiful setting, mismatched furniture and china giving it a cosy, arty feel. Possible wifi, but the service was so good I didn't need to use it. Obviously I chose Rose tea and Rose cake! It came in a beautiful pot, with a proper strainer, none of that in-pot rubbish that doesn't allow the tea to circulate properly, plus a delicate cup and saucer. The cake was a generous slice, served with a cake fork, delicious. The staff were friendly, efficient, helpful. There was a big party in at the time, wedding or hen, I think, which can be very demanding, but the staff didn't let that phase them, or delay the service for other customers. I wanted to stay longer. Definitely recommend, in fact I'm begging you to go there, because these small businesses need our support to stay open in these trying times. Also no fuss about taking cash, which some shops are turning into an unnecessarily big deal
Lovely decor and set up. Food was fine, just not worth almost £30 for an afternoon tea, which was 1 sandwich, 1 small vol-au-vent, a scone and a couple of sweet options in a broken stand. The piece of cake was great though! Would go back but not for the afternoon tea option.
