Beautiful food, the mussels were fantastic! The staff are lovely and it’s the perfect atmosphere for a pub lunch. Not a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans, but you’ll eat well.
Popped in for a quick beer early evening on a Friday.
The beer was very good, well kept, and a good selection at the bar. I always have a personal issue with pubs that are tied to a brewery. In this instance it's the Kirkstall Brewery and I find most of their beers have a similar flavour profile, I would always argue it would be good to be able to have a guest ale that is different.
That aside. The atmosphere is really friendly, there with families and dogs welcomed by the staff.
Will definitely be going back, hopefully to try the food or even catch the music.
Great pub with fantastic food options (Slap & Pickle). Ever changing tap so you can try all kinds of beers and they also have seasonal drinks like mulled wine (near the holidays). Love the cozy old pub vibes and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting/living in Horsforth area.
