Right, I travelled to this restaurant intentionally to see what it was like, knowing some of the backstory of the yellow deli and it's associations with 12 tribes. I came here with some friends and on walking into the restaurant, it's like stepping into an American deli from the deep south 40 years ago - the decor and music all create this very unique atmosphere I haven't experienced in any other restaurant. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming and the menu was easy to navigate and had a nice selection of sandwiches and salads. There are also several drink options. I very much enjoyed my meal - a steak sandwich - and genuinely can't think of another sandwich I've had that is as good! And everything was also reasonable in price and the deli itself is easy to find as it is well-placed on Honiton high street!
Converted pub into beautiful ground and first floor café. Fantastically done, no attention to detail has been overlooked, and the environment smacks of quality workmanship. Very friendly staff, and accommodating as well: Eisha is a lovely friendly young woman doing a brilliant job. Wonderful food, and my son thought the breakfast roll was one of the best he'd eaten. It's not cheap, but one is paying for quality, and when it's this good you don't mind the price. Coffee flavoursome and robust, not sure if it was freshly ground but certainly it was a quality drink. They also bake their own bread. These guys are part of a Christian community living up at Dunkeswell who will gladly speak about their faith, and their history is fascinating. We live forty minutes away but have already arranged to bring my wife here to experience the atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and have another huge piece of amazing carrot cake!
I have just had a delicious lunch at the Yellow Deli. A real gem in the heart of Honiton. Great food, lovely staff and the interior is amazing. I highly recommend them!
