Good Meal. We decided to go to the New In at the last minute our original trip was to China Town in Manchester. The New Inn is local to us and although not regulars we have been a number of times over the years. We got there at about 8 and it was very busy with drinkers and diners and because we hadn't booked we was told there would be a wait of about 1 hour. This allowed us to have a couple of drinks and chat before eating. Although we had tucked ourselves out of the way the Head waiter knew exactly where we were when our table was ready. The menu is mixed I had the pate and friend had tandoori chicken in a wrap. My pate was good and the wrap looked good. For main we had Meat and Potato Pie served with mushy peas and I had roast pork loin served with crackling and the usual veg. The pork was lovely and a good sized piece served with crackling. For those that don't want a large portion they also do Half portions most of the main course which I thought was good as my wife doesn't always want as large a portion as me so it restricts her choice at other places. The staff although young was very good and seemed competent in what they were doing we were not rushed but served promptly. All in all a good night within a very busy place if you want to eat at a set time advice would be to book as we have gone on different days and its always busy.

Lovely food and reasonably priced. Great service with a smile.
Overall, it's a good atmosphere for a nice relaxing meal or drinks at the bar. Will definatley be going again.
