I have ordered coffee from here many times after visiting Holy Island. It is the best coffee I have ever tasted!
The shipping is always on time, and comes with a friendly message. It's also really good value compared to what you pay for artisan coffee in other parts of the UK, and about the same price as an upmarket big brand in the supermarket. So it is definitely worth the postage if you buy a few bags of beans.
I felt compelled to write a new review recently after I ordered some coffee, and found the customer service to be above and beyond expectations. I accidentally ordered beans instead of my usual ground coffee. Jonny from Pilgrims texted me to ask if this was correct as he'd seen I normally ordered ground coffee from my order history. He also gave me a personal discount code on my next order as I'd ordered 10 times and they don't yet have their subscription service in place.
I will definitely continue to order coffee from pilgrims. I actually hate that I am not organised enough to order regularly, and end up buying inferior (and more expensive) coffee from other places!
� an expert coffee shop! on holy island! I was resigned to the idea that, going somewhere rural, I would be lucky to find a place that ‘knows’ coffee, rather than a quaint place for visitors with a coffee ethos the age of the castle. I WAS lucky. You can tell because they have v60 equipment on the shelf etc. Coffee is also excellent. Bought their ‘holy grail’ and it’s delicious, made with my v60 kit. Also makes interesting handmade foods, for different diets. And nice people too. Wouldn’t drink coffee anywhere else on the island.
My first visit to this little place (my partner has been a few times before) couldn't have been a better experience, great service and great coffee, even more amazing cake (I had the lemon drizzle, best one I've tasted) we got a beautiful spot right in the sun where all the little birds were surrounding us, it couldn't have been any more perfect (it was all a bit Snow White �) Will definitely love to visit again when we're back over that way again!
