Lovely conservatory area for seating, great atmosphere with most people eating food. Menu has great variety and all of it looked lovely coming out of the kitchen. Staff were attentive and friendly, food and drink came quickly and tasted fantastic. We went for pizzas but the Thai food looked amazing at the table next to us too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice pub in the south Devon area.
Lovely little pub, staff are very friendly and welcoming.
What starts as a tiny little pub, opens up into a bigger restaurant and through to an even bigger seated area. On this visit, I didn't get to check out the garden.
The wife wasn't overly impressed with her homemade pizza, but I thought it looked great and tasted good. Opting to change from mushroom and olives to just mushrooms may have been a factor here. There wasn't a lot of flavour to be fair, but I would order a pizza when visiting again. It really did look 100% homemade l, just as it said on the menu.
I opted for the rump steak myself. Not my favourite steak, but it was a good quality cut of meat and it was cooked perfectly.
I wasn't overly impressed with the blue cheese sauce, it was a decent sauce, but lacking in blue cheese flavour.
The inside plants could have done with a good dusting, they were covered in cobwebs on my visit, which was annoying.
But any pub or restaurant has a high standard to live up to having worked in the trade for 10 years myself.
I would definitely recommend a visit for food and would definitely return here for another meal.
Great place for a Sunday roast, great quality food and portion sizes fit for a king. They even have plastic rubs for people to take the food away as the portion sizes are so generous.
Staff were very friendly even under pressure of full service on a busy Sunday.
If I was going to pick a negative it would be that the car park is not big enough.
