Peer in through a misty window, and find a bit of old fashioned comfort. I often find these tea rooms difficult to judge - as from a modern perspective you're surrounded by clutter and antique crockery of your nan's generation, but the food and drink is where the quality shows, and this particular place doesn't disappoint. Friendly, helpful staff served up one of the best English Breakfasts I've had in ages, along with a decent selection of hot beverages - of which a cafetière-for-two was an unusual, but comforting homely option. Would absolutely recommend you pop in to this little gem - and I'll definitely be back.
We booked in for full afternoon tea with family and had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. The freshly made finger sandwiches were very tasty and the cakes were delicious and all beautifully presented. The scones and clotted cream finished it off beautifully although we did need a doggy box as there was plenty. The friendly staff looked after us beautifully and I would certainly recommend a visit. We have visited before and eaten off the menu and were equally well looked after and enjoyed the food. We will be back soon!!!
A delightful tea room uniquely decorated for a fabulous afternoon tea. We were welcomed by such friendly and attentive staff who bought out our afternoon tea straight away. We had a variety of sandwiches, a lovely selection of cakes of which were so scrumptious. The best lemon cake we've tasted! Then finished off with warm scones with cream and jam as well as unlimited tea. It was a wonderful visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely visit Molly's Tea Room again for afternoon tea or a slice of one of their tasty cakes!
