C.A.R.E. (Herefordshire) CIC operates Pontrilas P.O. & Village Store - the reason, was to save it from closure (it is the only P.O. In Pontrilas) ....
C.A.R.E. is a grass-root social enterprise and as such provides support services to the most vulnerable of adults who primarily reside in the Golden Valley area of South Herefordshire. Services include a 'Good Neighbour' and 'Telephone Buddy' scheme; offering practical daily support services that enable its older residents to continue living independently in their own homes with 'that little bit of help': services include helping with day-to-day tasks with house and gardening chores, preparation of meals and general DIY.
C.A.R.E. also hosts weekly 'Lunch Clubs', enabling residents to meet up on a regular basis; and as such engages itself with social inclusion programmes, in order to help combat loneliness and rural social isolation, whilst promoting individual well being.
The ethos of C.A.R.E. is under-pinned by its social values and as such actively sets itself right in the heart of 'Community life'. Engagement with its community sees C.A.R.E. responding to the un-met need, and further provides 'Village Transport' services to and from the G.P. surgery, together with a bolted-on 'Prescription Collection and Delivery' scheme. A working relationship with the Golden Valley G.P. practise in Ewyas Harold has been respectively formed with C.A.R.E. which furthers the 'Social Benefit' to the most vulnerable of residents who reside in the rural villages that form part of the Golden Valley area.
C.A.R.E. (Herefordshire) CIC is a unique and innovative social enterprise. Since its launch in 2014, they have stepped up and saved the last remaining P.O. and village store from closure in Pontrilas. Furthermore, C.A.R.E. has recently expanded it services and has secured two adjoining industrial units to the P.O. Their newest project will see within the Golden Valley a 'Dementia Friendly' Cafe and Social Well being Hub'.
CafeC.A.R.E. is a project that will provide a venue where residents can meet - connecting people and communities. It is a place where residents can access a range of daily activities, share hobbies and learn new skills. It will be a place where people can book beauty and well being treatments and will also facilitate a 'Foot Clinic' helping individuals to keep feet feeling comfortable.
Operating as a Social Enterprise, enables C.A.R.E. to offer different kinds of support that helps make a positive change to an individuals' life; improving their well being whilst combating loneliness, social isolation, stress, anxiety and depression. C.A.R.E. (Herefordshire) CIC has a lot to offer and delivers locally to the very communities it seeks to serve.
This is a pleasant surprise. The GV community Cafe hub is open to everyone of all ages and abilities to socialize.
If you see one of my pictures the profits are sunk back into the business.

You think you know what a organic burger should taste like but you haven't tasted until you have tasted this 5/5
More importantly the meats and ingredients are organic and sustainably sourced foods
