Lovely little quaint spot
The staff were friendly, the food was extremely fresh!! The sandwiches are HUGE and cakes look delicious!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed my bruschetta and being allowed to add my own balsamic glaze, was a perfect little add on 👌
Our ”usual” cafe in Helmsley was closed on Mondays so looking for somewhere else we came across this wee place. So glad we did. The food was amazing!!!! Had to be the best cooked brekkie I’ve ever had (we have one meat and one veggie and both were brilliant. Well cooked and loads of food. Almost too much food to manage a cake after, but managed to force down a slice of Victoria sponge (such dedication 😂) which was equally delicious.
Had a good choice of food and drinks and nice atmosphere too.
And if you’re eating here, get something that involves it being served with butter. I have never seen the way they do it in any cafe or restaurant in my life. And I’ve lived a lot of years and been in a LOT of cafes. Such a lovely wee touch but I won’t say what as it might spoil your surprise (although there is a big clue in this review somewhere 😉). Well done to whoever came up with the idea though - simple but really effective and small touches like that make the difference when surrounded by loads of competitors ⭐️
*UPDATE*
Second trip today for brekkie and equally as good. If not better!!!! And super dog friendly which I don’t think I mentioned last time.
Go there - you won’t regret it 🤩
My greyhound saw the sign first, Hey dad we're welcome here, although the cafe was full inside we sat outside basked in sunshine, the cheese scone was delicious, lemon cake to die for, lovely coffee, fresh water for my four legged friend. The staff were friendly, and welcoming, food excellent ; don't walk past call in you won't be disappointed. Many thanks see you again when I'm next in the area,
