Have been going to the Toms Holidays site for numerous years and always pass the pub but never got round to going in. Managed to find the time last April to visit and have a pint of whichever St.Austell beer was on tap.
Having been back at the site again this October my family and I decided to try the pub grub having seen others reviews. Booking in advance is highly recommended as it's a busy pub only serving food between 6-9pm.
On arriving we we given menus and pointed in the direction of the "specials" board. We ordered our food and drink at the bar and then waited for no more than 15 mins for our food to be bought to our table. Be under no illusion, these are not small, measly sized portions. These will cater for the largest of appetites quite sufficiently.
At the end of our meal, we settled our tab, which for a party of three including drinks came to below £50 including starters, a very reasonable price.
We are back home now but already looking forward to going back again in April.
Lovely place, arrived without booking staff very accomadating gave us a table that was pre booked. We had home made steak and ale pie which where well loaded and chips where yummy too. We would highly recommend staff and owner very friendly. A quirky pub with excellent service
