A cozy, busy food pub with wonderful service. The food was delicious, portion sizes generous and the prices average for the area and reflective of the quality! The Sunday roast platter was very good, the gravy was to die for! It can get busy/crowded in here so make sure to pre book a table.

Called here for Lunch for my Wife's birthday, we've heard good things about this place, so decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed. The food, the service the whole place is superb, not been in for years. Highly recommend this place we will be back. Everything was just spot on. Starters of Haloumi fries, Cajun Chicken strips and Cheesy Garlic Bread all quality. The Cajun Chicken Ciabatta has a fair boot to it, but it was delicious, the Burger my Mrs went for was outstanding, as was the Gammon my son had, and the Onion Rings..... I'm putting it out there now. They were the size of a steering wheel and the BEST we've ever had anywhere. Gladly the place is only 5 minutes away in the car because it's better than the hotel not far from us. I can't remember the name... named after some sisters from Thornton or sommat..🤔. We spent over £100 in both, and the food in The Old Sun was TOP CLASS. Keep up the outstanding work and high-quality food..👏👏👏👏👏 we're already looking forward to our next meal here...
