This is hands down the very best Chinese take away I've had the absolute pleasure to order from. It's a pure gem! So glad to have found it. I drive 21 minutes to get this take away and I'd happily drive an hour if needs be, The food is flawlessly delicious and extremely moreish. Portion sizes are very perfect and generous! There is so much care that goes into each dish, the flavour is outstanding and It's obvious the establishment cares a lot about the quality and the brilliant food. There's a good reason for all of these great reviews! Also, customer service is top notch and the lovely people at the counter go the extra mile to make their customers happy.
A few of my many many favourites from here:
Deep fried crispy beef is just perfect, so crunchy and delicious, just the way it's supposed to be, I also hugely recommend the "good luck special chow main"and the "Smoked Chicken". In fact, the list goes on and on and on. I actually recommend every single dish but I can't list them all, you'll have to go try them for yourself! :)
If you try "good luck" one time, it will be your favourite Chinese take away forever!

Excellent! Lovely lady took my order and our takeaway, set menu for two was ready 10 mins later. We took it back to Thaxted (a 25 minute drive) and it was still hot when we got back. Delicious!
Absolutely amazing Chinese food the very best one in the entire area. Very recently made the mistake of going to the other Chinese, which is very close by due to our “good luck” being closed. All I can tell you is the other Chinese, that we had was average at best. Good Luck Chinese is probably the best Chinese Takeaway I’ve ever been to!
Another thing I’ve noticed is the few one star reviews, are left by very questionable accounts. As you can see the review with every left one review. There is no chance on Earth. Anybody would leave good luck Chinese 1 star, because they hugely care about the food quality. So personally think the one star reviews are fake and buy competitor…
Either way absolutely outstanding Chinese food from Good Luck and I am a complete foodie. I’ve been to many Chinese takeaways and restaurants thus far in my life, and this is one of the very top for tasty Chinese food, coupled with very reasonable prices and great portions sizes in the country.
