If you are of a certain age like me, the first proper pizza you had was probably a Pizza Hut pizza (I say proper pizza, because those cheese ones that came in a bag of ten in the freezer were not really a pizza, although that's what you called them). So Pizza Hut was the bench mark by which all other pizzas were judged, now as you have grown older and you've had a few pizzas does the former gold standard measure up?
First off the crust is as puffy and full as you remember, this has always been the signature of Pizza Hut. The dough is fresh and light though it lacks much depth to its flavour, the base is reasonably thin but without much crispness to it, it does not however go floppy so that is good.
Tomato is OK, its thick in texture with a pleasant flavour but as with the dough it lacks a depth to it.
The cheese is nice with good coverage and nice melt, but as is par for the course its not wow. Don't take this verdict as a negative, its not, the pizza is nice but it lacks that something that lifts it beyond the level of good.
The shop is a delivery centre so there is no seating but a large space for waiting, this goes from empty to quite full depending on the wave of food delivery couriers at the time you are there. Staff are excellent, the counter staff are very helpful and friendly. In addition I'd like to thank the cook staff who spotted me waiting outside and brought my order out to me directly when it was done.
It's a good place for good times, the pizzas 🍕 is very good and taste. Options with crust cheese you need to try.
Staffs is friendly
Occasionally we order from our local pizza hut and guess what?! They do what they meant to do! Delivery always on time, pizzas are spot on & they have great customer service. Last time our delivery guy Ricardo gaves us extra ice cream and we wanted to say big Thank you. Keep doing what you doing!
