Visited on one of the few days this summer when it wasn't raining and cold so we able to eat outside on the terrace.
Spectacular views over the Dee estuary and beyond. You can even see Blackpool tower on a clear day.
Food quality was good and promptly served with absolutely minimal wait time but was not served very hot and being outside it cooled too quickly.
The problem with this lovely public house is that it has had a whole series of tenent landlords who have never seemed able to help it reach its full potential.
A huge carpark, plenty of space indoors and outside as well as a small 6 or 8 pitch caravan site for touring vans as well as a limited number of guest rooms.
An ideal location for thousands of tourists travelling in both directions along the A55 to and from Anglesey/Holyhead and many other parts of the beautiful coastline of Wales.
We hope the new tenent/landlord who is also the chef is able to make a success of it and is here to stay.

Well what can I say? Think I found a little gem just up the road. Took advantage of the two for one meals we both had steak and the little boy had curry and rice. Absolute bargain on the food was amazing! Absolutely no complaints. Will definitely be calling again. I might be calling this my new local. Beautiful looking pub with beautiful food

Amazing Sunday roast! Just before booking we noticed they were dog friendly and did a ‘doggy roast’ For £4.95! Yes, those are the doggy dinners - not ours 😂😍 really enjoyed the food and the pups definitely enjoyed theirs!
