First visit for us, and definitely won't be the last. 😊 We had booked for a late Sunday lunch as a belated birthday celebration for me. Choice of around 6/8 starters then choice of 4 roasts.
Andy chose Roast Beef and for me the Lamb Rump. Both came with crisp Yorkshire puds, roast potatoes, carrots, green beans and broccoli cheese and gravy.
We followed with pot of tea & vanilla ice cream for Andy & a Cappuccino for me.
Bottle of Zinfandel Rose and a bitter shandy to drink for us.
All very much enjoyed. The service from all the staff was really good & friendly. We sat outside.
We would very much recommend a visit. 😊
Everybody said this is a nice place to dine out in Halifax and certainly is a fab place.
Every dishes were favourful and we won't regret to put calories on when the food so yummy.
Casual place with attentive service.
Highly recommend !
TRUE NORTH 🥩 ❤️// I’ve been meaning to dine at @truenorthhx for ages and have never got round to it, schedule packed as always.
Today I changed all that and popped along for Sunday Lunch
Starting with : Belly Pork Bites
Followed by: Slow-roasted Sirloin of Beef, True North Yorkshire Pudding, triple-cooked roast potatoes, carrots, baked broccoli cheese, seasonal vegetable medley, pan gravy.
Accompanying was a large glass of red.
How would I rate True North? A solid 8/10, decor and service was outstanding as was the food in general, however, in my opinion the beef lacked flavour, I’m not sure chef had taken advantage of that incredible layer of flavour (fat) that would have made this a Sunday Lunch to remember.
It does however get a recommendation for me and I would certainly return.
