This is a great little village pub. Barstaff was very friendly serving us the drinks, though some of the locals crowded the bar making it difficult to order drinks even though we were clearly waiting to do so. In that regard the atmosphere could improve.
Lovely interior, some real effort has gone into making it feel cosy and traditionally 'countrified'. Some nice wall hangings and the beer garden is a delight.
Overall I'd definitely drink here again, but some of the locals need to get out of the way when it's a small bar area.
Lovely village pub nice clean and tidy friendly staff good beers well kept left the village 50 years ago great improvement keep it will call inagain
Local pub; first time visiting after 2 years living in the area. It’s full of history and tiny, which makes it such a lovely spot; even in the Winter!
Bar staff really friendly. Usual Landlord ales on sale, and one or two specialised beers.
Didn’t have any food.
In the small room behind the bar, there were board games and lots of local history on the wall.
Next door church is full of history and has a huge graveyard around the back, with rambling walk along the river towards Jerusalem Farm - highly recommend- and Cat ‘Ith Well pub.
Can’t wait to return in the Spring and Summer.
