My wife and I booked Cafe Thai Tapas for a private Ruby Wedding celebration party. We had the room exclusively and invited about 50 close friends and family and have to say that it is one of the best venues around for a function. The whole event was well received by our guests with great comments about the food, staff and venue. The food and service was outstanding and they couldn't do enough for us. I would like to thank Mike for his organization and ensuring everything went to plan. I cannot praise this place enough and would recommend it anyone planning a party or celebration. Thanks again to everyone involved.
We've just been to cafe thai tonight. When we got there it appeared that we had been double booked. We were asked to sit at the bar and we immediately thought it was going to be a bad experience. Within about two minutes they had us seated, so if they had double booked, they managed to rectify the situation very quickly and professionally. The food was absolutely amazing. I am a massive spice freak and very rarely do I go to restaurant where they state something is spicy and something actually is (the flavour was still lovely and was not substituted by the spice). The decor and atmosphere was brilliant... thank you to the waitress who found out where the dining chairs were from... I will most likely be buying my own set!!! Finally... we were on a rare date night without children. We were seated next to a group of men who were... delightfully arrogant. To begin with, I felt really sorry for the lady serving them. They were quite obnoxious and at sometimes very rude (thinking that they could make suggestive comments and talk about the said waitress in a very derogatory way). She was very professional, walking up to the table smiling and better than anything being polite to the point that it put them to shame!!!! They were no way a disturbance to us but it was very interesting listening to how they spoke to and about the waitress but the way she dealt with it was so professional to the point that she managed to contain the 'men' to their table without them spilling their obscene opinions onto to the rest of the restaurant. In all, quite an amusing night because of how professionally all the lovely ladies serving on managed to handle people. I haven't taken a doggy bag home in over ten years... I did tonight!!!
Had dinner here Sunday evening, never eaten Tai food before and it was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly guiding us through the menu. Aircon was a boon after a hot day in the garden. Will certainly go again, not far to travel either. Thank you x
