I've been eating at this pub since The Thorns closed years ago. The food quality is excellent for the price paid and staff are friendly. Adverse publicity recently might have put customers off but I recommend you give it a try for yourself. The meats on the carvery are succulent and plentiful and a good range of vegetables. If the food isn't hot enough for your palate ask for it to be microwaved. Always a good experience in my opinion.

There is only one word to describe this place FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC the staff are lovely, nothing is to much trouble for them. The carvery is amazing. If you like breakfast an all you can eat buffet will set you up for the day until tea time. The price is unbeatable. Good clean pub. Keep up the good work Sam and her team.

This has got to be one of the best carveries locally. They have lots of choice of meat and vegetables, the gravy is delicious too. Staff are lovely cheerful and friendly. Only downside is the smoking area is right ourside and the smell drifts through into the pub so if you hate the smell the sit further back.
