To be fair I wasn't sure what to expect this being Cornwall, not Madrid, but what a great find! It's clearly pretty new and the decor is lovely and open and bright, the service was friendly and efficient, but the main attraction, the food, was so good!
The patatas bravas and the calamares were a cut above but pretty much what you'd expect, as was the tortilla. The meatballs were particularly good as were the croqueta, and the chorizo in Cornish cider were a delight. The mussels were fabulous and as a main if you weren't feeling the tapas, would serve you well. The pig cheeks though... they were sublime, so outrageously tasty I could have eaten a dozen rather than the two that turned up. Thoroughly recommended.
So good I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, oh and some more of those pig cheeks too! Top tip; Save some of that delicious bread because there are a lot of fabulous sauces to be mopped up once you've eaten the tapa.
Definitely worth a visit. Food was delicious and the muscles were the best I've ever had. They are dog friendly as well. My only gripe was the stools which were really uncomfortable to sit in for any long period. Also I asked for a cortado (Spanish style coffee) and nobody knew what is was. None of the staff were Spanish which is a shame. Cocktails were good too.
Lovely little tapas place (& nice outside seating too). Cheerful service & tasty tapas & good range of drinks. Would have liked slightly larger portions & having their own phone (rather than sharing with the pub on the same site) would make booking easier for all. We'll definitely be back, hungry after a day at Godrevy
