This place reopened recently with the new name Victoria Fish and chips.
It's a takeaway and restaurant, the takeaway on the ground floor is a nice clean and brightly lit with friendly counter staff.
The menu is usually fish and chips type that limited to Haddock in terms of fish, but it also serves burgers, wraps, kebabs and pies all food offerings are reasonably priced, and competitive for the area.
It has good wheelchair access and a restroom.
The restaurant is on the first floor and accessed via a flight of stairs. The menu for this is the same as the takeaway.
The restaurant is reasonably sized and nicely decorated but functional and not overly fussy, clean and well lit.
It has a standard tables and chairs layout, the restroom is downstairs in the takeaway. Table service is provided.
They have an online ordering and delivery service.
I believe that it's cash only here.
Food review November 2019.
I chose to eat in the restaurant on this my first visit and ordered a large Haddock chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. I had a brief but not excessive wait for my meal but the tea was served promptly. I was pleased with the food that arrived good sized portions of nice crispy chips and mushy peas, the fillet of Haddock was fresh also good in size with nice thin crisp batter and good flavoured white flesh. 👌Nicely fried in vegetable oil giving the food a nice light clean taste.
Decent quality tea as well.
I paid £6.10 for my meal and tea, which I thought was good value for money.
I paid another visit here , I opted for a takeaway meal today ,large Haddock, chips and peas, quick friendly counter service, regarding the food it was just as good as my meal in the restaurant recently, good quality fish and chips all served in a recyclable cardboard box. 👍
I paid £5.10 for my takeaway meal.
