Downloaded the greggs app and placed an order, and paid through the app. It gives you options of a 10-minute collection time.
When I arrived the store was relatively quiet. I wasn't sure what to do as the app wasn't clear, even though it sent me a text with an order number. So I asked the member of staff who served me what the process was with ordering through the app, and apparently you queue as normal and just give them your order number?
Seemed pretty pointless, but I got a free coffee for downloading the app. Probably won't use again. App said no cheese and onion bakes left, when I got into the shop there was so I asked to swap a sandwich for one. Which the manager did. Bit of a faff on with my bank card, processing a refund then recharging me for the cheese and onion bake.
Normally don't mind a greggs but the app is completely pointless. Just queue and pay as normal. This particular shop is extremely busy around midday though!
Nice if you like greggs. If you don't, then it won't be for you. Getting parked is a nightmare if it's busy, so I tend to avoid at busy times
All the stables a northern lad likes... staff are great and really nice service.
