The doggy afternoon tea was exceptional here, as was the afternoon tea for humans! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The service was impeccable with a high attention to detail. From the customer service, to the food itself, down to the presentation and delivery, everything was faultless.
I was really impressed by the thought and effort that went into designing the doggy afternoon tea, as I figured my dogs would just get given each item as and when, but they had a cake stand just like we did and everything had been thought about. It really was something amazing and excellent value for money. It was very creatively presented and looked just as good as our afternoon tea. Such a clever idea and worth every penny!!
My mother and I had the light afternoon tea and didn’t want for anything. Our sandwich and scone request was taken beforehand and was beautifully prepared for our arrival. I bet the bigger afternoon tea would have been even more special.
I think it’s a family run place and had a lovely homely, friendly and inviting atmosphere inside. The staff gave us a hand with juggling our dogs while they were digging into their afternoon tea, so we also had a chance to get stuck into ours too.
One of my dogs had the unwavering enthusiasm of a hyperactive hungry toddler when presented with his 2 tiered selection of treats so the help was really appreciated. He knocked one of the tiers clean off along with everything on it which ended up making a little bit of a mess. This was well received by staff and encouraged in a way, as they truly wanted my two dogs to enjoy themselves to the fullest.
There is a separate dog menu aside from the afternoon tea which is just perfect and although it isn’t pictured, there is a plethora of other options for people.
I really wanted a decent cappuccino and didn’t want to go to the Costa subsidiary within our campsite. I found this little gem instead!
It may not be immediately apparent that it’s open but check the sign in the door. Pop in if you can as it’s great 5++++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic scones with butter and jam. Cream can also be added dependant on personal taste. Tea was served in a small teapot, made with tea leaves. China cups and saucers top off the afternoon tea experience. We sat outside with our little dog. Dogs are allowed inside too and doggy treats are provided. Ordering takes place inside and then served to your table. It cost £11.00 for two teas and two scones. The scones are beautiful, we will definately be back.
We visited today April 2024 we ordered 2 crispy chicken sandwiches and 2 cups of tea. It cost £25.00 approx. Food was nice and service was friendly.
Lovely little cafe in a quiet area. Delicious waffles and milkshakes - generous portios and excellent value for money! Friendly staff with smiles on their faces - not that common nowadays! Would definitely recommend and will go back!
