Kirstine and Ian did an amazing job providing all of the food for our wedding day. From canapés through to evening food. It was all so delicious and we had lots of happy guests! They do an amazing job of running the catering side of things so that you don’t have to worry. Top service throughout the planning stage with tasting session and tonnes of advice along the way. We can’t thank you enough for everything, Jess & Kenny xxx
It is a great cafe for tea/coffee and cake, with plenty of savoury food options and freshly made bread available as well.
The staff were very friendly, and a good playlist was on when we visited.
We didn't reserve a table, but you can do if you know the time you want a table. There are some more tables in the back room, so worth going in even if they appear full from the street.
We went for the toasted teacake (nicely cinnamon spiced) and Bakewell slice. Both were healthly portions, and nice coffee.
Stopped off for a coffee/hot chocolate and cake with my 13 yr old en route from London to Whitby and...wow! Amazing find. Loved the interior and decor (we got the two luxury armchairs!). The food was delish and the service typical of Yorkshire - homely, friendly and efficient. Also loved the back story - the place is named after a fave childhood book of one of the co-founders. Must visit again!
