My wife, my seven year old daughter and myself enjoyed a lovely early evening meal. We sneaked in a little before they were serving, we were seated and served our drinks and made to feel very welcome. We didn't have to wait long for our order to be taken. Emma had the garlic mushrooms in white wine sauce and I had the muscles in white wine and garlic. Both dishes were wonderful!
Gracie had sausage and mash, a very good size child's portion, and she polished it off. Emma had the Scampi and I had the Burger. What can I say, there was no waste! The wine list complemented the menu, the Argentinan Malbec was so smooth!
It is so nice to have this on our doorstep.
Please support this lovely pub, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Great food, great atmosphere and great service.
Thank you so much.
We had a lovely meal on Valentine's day at the Kings Head! The pub looked lovely, the food was great, the service was superb and the company was excellent! Well done to all the staff!
We just had a delicious plentiful Roast everything (4 meats as too hard to choose). The pub is exactly how a country pub should be and the service was friendly and excellent ...Kay is a lovely waitress and made us feel so welcome. They have a pudding board which is a range of savoury puddings with traditional fillings like steak and kidney to more unusual such as pheasant, venison and goose. Great family pub. P.s they have a gin list and serve Fever Tree tonic ...huge bonus!
