Absolutely recommend this restaurant or take away fish and chip shop. The best fish and chips I've ever had staff very friendly lovely cosy warm restaurant with log burner and a very reasonable price
The best chips and smoked sausage I've ever had. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough.
One of the best fish and chips i had in scotland. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light crispy batter paired with perfectly fried light golden chips, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. A must try if you are driving through Golspie and need to grab a bite quickly.
The food was great, a little oily but normal for a chippy. They offer gluten free options which is an almost immediate 5 star in my book. We had a fish and chips each with curry gravy and mushy peas. Do not miss out on the curry gravy! The only downside is that there is nowhere to sit.
Quick service on a Monday Eve. Very good portion. Always check opening times very carefully. The restaurant is closed on the Monday Eve, at the moment. Unfortunately for us, but we decided to make it a dashboard dinner. Didn't sit outside as weren't prepared to share with the (sea)gull. Friendly staff.
Mama P the manager was very helpful and kind. We had the fish and chips and it was delicious. The local beers were also tasty.
Quick and tasty take-away fish and chips. My girlfriend and I arrived late at our stay for the night and came in half an our before closing. Even then, great service, tasty food.
Paulina was lovely and couldn't have been more accommodating. The gluten free fish and chips were delicious..some of the best gf batter I've had....and then she showed me cake!!...being dairy and gluten intolerant i barely get to have dessert so when I found i could have the lemon polenta cake it was a done deal....absolutely lovely place to eat..we both devoured our meals!. Paulina was a great host and was more than happy to chat..would definitely go again if I'm up this way ...keep it up Paulina..esp the gf/df baking ❤️
Staying in the area and Googled a Fish and Chip shop.
Came up as nearby and the reviews read well.
On arrival we managed to park outside free of charge and get straight in.
Food was cooked on request and came fresh and warm.
Possibly a little higher price than we are used to but can't comment on how it compares to others in the area.
This is a fantastic little spot for a cheeky chippy and fried fish! We stopped on our way up to the Orkney Islands and it was well worth it. There was a short queue, but we didn’t wait long.
The food was damn tasty and we enjoyed our fish and a deep fried blood pudding snack on the beach! They aren’t skimp on the tartar either, which is great. It was all super!
Exceptional quality fish and chips in a really cosy and warmly decorated place. The chicken burger was awesome, and as always the chips were fresh and light.
Service from the young waitress was really prompt, polite, and friendly. Couldn't fault it.
The other lady who we chatted with at the end of the meal was really friendly. However, on learning we live locally, her level of professionalism dropped. She might want to address this to avoid alienating local customers.
Overall, exceptional quality food. However, value-wise, you could definitely do better. The prices are a little spicy.
Lovely chip shop , delicious food , good service , thank you very much. Clearly a well loved place by locals and not so locals.
