They provide a wide range of Malaysian Chinese dishes which you can find in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. If you would like to try some authentic Malaysian Chinese restaurant in Glasgow, you should give them a chance and have a try, especially their curry laksa which is really tasty.
delicious Malaysian restaurant in Glasgow! I had a wonderful lunch at Satu Satu, I ordered the Sambal Fried Tofu, Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, and the Tapioca Bubbles Sundae. The food was delicious, the sambal actually spicy! And the Sundae was also enjoyable. All of that food only for £12.95! Friends also enjoyed their Hainanese Chicken Rice and Waffle with Tapioca Pearls. Overall, highly recommended!
Would recommend for small gatherings or dinner for one, at least once a year as they do revise their menu (I still miss their previous rice dishes that come in small wooden barrels). Dishes offered originates from Malaysian Chinese culture and/or the Canton area of China. Take note Satu Satu means business when it comes to spiciness.
Their Hainanese chicken (boneless, mostly) rice dish is my partner’s favourite.
Never had trouble getting a seat, but seating is limited and so would recommend booking in advance.
Went out for a dinner here. Wings were not flavourful and too salty. Nasi Lemak with crispy chicken and sambar curry were amazing. Chicken noodle was average, we thought flavour could be improved. The staff were attentive and responsive. Prices are slightly on the higher side but not too expensive either.
I stumbled upon this cafe and I'm so glad I did! The food is delicious, cheap, and the staff is super friendly. There is however room for improvement: the loud blender and extract fans, echoey noise, and overpowering fryer smells detract from the cozy vibe. But the interesting food and desserts keep me coming back. With some small ambiance tweaks, this could be a true neighborhood gem.
