Went on a Sunday with my neice . Didni't fancy the busy cafe with lots of children. But the food was very fancy and the staff excellent. I'd say go on a quieter day.
After an absolutely knackering day at the salt mines, it was a delight to have the prospect of fine food in fine company to fill the evening hours. The fine company came from regular guest questers Tracey and Susie, who’d recently joined at The Riparian Rooms. The fine food was the concern of the Kelvingrove Cafe on Argyle Street.
I saved the ‘crispy mac’ slider until the end and I was glad that I did! Consisting of a breadcrumbed, three cheese macaroni patty and relish on a mini brioche, this was my favourite of the three! This mac & cheese was gooey, cheesy, not overly-heavy and the breadcrumb coating was extremely light and crunchy. It was finished with a tomato and spring onion relish, which I didn’t expect to work as well as it did. The relish provided a nice tang which cut through the cheesiness and really lifted the flavour.
