This is the best open folk session I’ve been to outside of Galway. Every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon from about 4.00pm onwards, twenty or so folk musicians on on fiddle, whistle, guitar etc etc play whatever comes to their fancy. Great selection of real ales and wines in a traditional, relaxed pub makes this a must visit without question
Great place- beer garden, real fire and beer! Traditional Scottish style bar serving Scottish dishes like Cullen skink, stovies and more. Good beer and wine selection too.
Need a few more of these!. Glasgow could really do with a few more places like this scattered around. There is a few up west end way, but they ain't that great in all honesty. It is a touch twee, but being the only real bar of it's kind I think has something to do with that. The food is good though and very different type of pub menu compared to the usual. Stovies and the breakfasts get top marks from me.
