The tour guide at the Kelvingrove mentioned that this tea room had been restored, so we wanted to see it for ourselves. This place is so beautiful, and it's clear how much care was put into the restoration. The tea was superb, and the food was delicious. I can't recommend it highly enough.
The best tea house and tour in Glasgow! Heather explained the amazing history and the interesting background on the decor. A must see for locals and tourists. Make sure to come early as they only do a few tours.
The pumpkin tart is a must! Large Tea selection. Everything was delicious!
A beautiful reconstruction of the tea room, but gone is the golden age…
One of the most beautiful cup of hot chocolate I’ve seen. Beautiful latte art, airy, not too sweet, warming up my stomach and soul.
Chicken liver pate is beautifully silky. Blue cheese has a nice strong kick.
Sandwiches look a little like the catering pack at our faculty’s meetings, but the warm sun dried tomato quiche is lovely.
Nice little warm scones.
The desserts are far too sweet for me, unfortunately.
Love the idea of offering takeaway boxes. Proud of cutting food waste :) no matter how fancy the place is. The option to change and try different tea blends is great.
Some suggestion: Would appreciate if the flowers are fresh ones instead of plastic— That was part of Ms.Cranston’s passion, wasn’t it?
The service is really friendly and warm (Thank you Megan for the stories!). The background music is low key and enjoyable. And the room, of course, is fabulous.
Would recommend for the rare exclusive experience, available only on Thursdays and Fridays.
