Table for two at 5.30. We parked in a nearby street with no parking restrictions. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but got busy as the evening progressed. The surroundings were bright and airy with a nautical theme. We chose to sit in a booth and our waiters were attentive but not overbearing. I had mussels in spicy tomato broth with garlic bread. My better had the mussels in the white wine sauce. Both were nice but I definitely preferred mine. The portions were massive for a starter. For main I had the seafood linguine in tomato passata whilst my better half had the lobster ravioli. Again, the portions were great and the food was very tasty. We had also ordered onion rings as a side but we struggled to finish them as we were so full. The staff kindly gave us a doggy bag to take them away. Clean, bright surroundings, unpretentious, good tasty food, big portions and friendly and efficient staff. As Arnold S. would say, "Eating is not cheating" or something like that
This place is magnificent. The food is delicious (I had a sausage supper). Jumbo sausages were all very nice. The chips were lovely and a side of coleslaw was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Really nice relaxed vibe, it's a chippy with more...industrial chic decor and comfy booths.
Staff were bearded delights, friendly and welcoming.
Salt and vinegar was in pouches/sachets but allowed me to have hundreds of salt, so just the way I like and I guess a hangover from lockdown restrictions.
Good value too, lovely lunch on a Monday when others were closed fish tea including bread, tartar sauce and tea for under a tenner in October 23 is quite a deal.
Well done all
