Just back from our first visit to The Rock. On day 5 of our annual family holiday to North Devon....not sure whether we'd wished we'd found this lovely place sooner or glad we didn't as it may have cost us a fortune as we would've wanted to visit every day!! Had the most amazing meal with our 8 year old son, food outstanding with service to match. As a bit of a fitness/health freak, I'm always very choosy about what meals I treat myself too when we eat out and I'm either always disappointed or feel I've over indulged on rubbish....until today! This was by far the best and most enjoyable meal I've had out for a very long time!! Veggie deli board to start (was delicious and actually a meal in itself, even with sharing between 2!). I had the Thai crab cakes (starter but staff very accommodating and made it a main with extra salad and some gorgeous chunky chips!), hubby had thai green vegetable curry and junior had a burger with an extra of cheese from the child's menu. For pudding (which we had to squeeeeze in!) I had the pancakes, my husband had the sticky toffee pudding and our son had the warm chocolate brownie....yum!!! Because we were piggies and the food so amazing we finished off with coffee and truffles! Honestly can't recommend this place for its food and service enough, will DEFINITELY be back next year, although sooner if perhaps we can squeeze another visit in before we go home on Saturday! 😊
Amazing local pub, we came after a recommend, however didn't book and on a lunchtime bank holiday Monday, but they happily accommodated our party of 9 at short notice, we would without doubt return when we are in the area again, food, drinks and service was top class! All our party including kids left very happy! The Seafood was amazing too!
What a fantastic little gem of a pub. Came in last Tuesday with a party of sixteen. The staff we very friendly and service was excellent but the best part had to be the food it was amazing and well worth the money. Would recommend the pork belly it was scrumptious. Will definitely be returning when next in Devon. Thank you the rock Inn for a fab night xxx
